We as well remove seats when performing deep cleaning on carpets, however...there is a liability on your part if you do not reinstall the seats correctly. Our insurance agent cringed when we told them about removing the seats. Not so much the rear seats, but the front. As I am sure everyone knows there are many devices connected to the front seats, especially electric seats not to mention air bags. Some manufacturers recommend not using the same bolts when reinstalling. It could end up being a nightmare just to get at a french fry. Our insurance company will cover us, but we will have to be found that we were at fault during the reinstall phase. Basically we have a release of liability form that the customer has to sign prior to removing seats. This release protects us (some what) if we were found at fault of a faulty reinstall causing an accident. To sum it up...basic cleaning we vacuum using various crevice tools for under the seat. General shampooing of carpet...we move seat forward and backward. Steam clean / shampoo due to a spill...we will recommend seat removal. As far as rims, spares, etc. we will remove and clean / protect. Don't forget, your time is money.
